WORLD MIGRATORY BIRD DAY
In accordance with the 25th letter of the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental Protection and Climate Change, it is planned to celebrate "World Migratory Bird Day" in our Republic on May 12 of this year.
On this day, a scientific seminar was held by the professors and teachers of the Department of "Biology, Ecology and Medicinal Plants" of the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Samdech Techonomic University.
The following topics were discussed at the seminar:
The role of migratory birds in the ecological system and the urgency of their protection;
The impact of climate change on bird migration;
The main migratory routes passing through the territory of Uzbekistan and the results of their scientific observation;
The risk of disease spread by birds and preventive measures;
The results of research work conducted by students and young scientists in this area.
Also, ecological presentations and exhibitions prepared by students were shown at the seminar. At the end of the event, participants were given recommendations on improving environmental culture, and active students were awarded certificates of honor.
