In accordance with the implementation of Appendix 6 to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-345 dated September 30, 2024, the V Republican Educational and Methodological Seminar on the topic "Priority tasks of improving the quality of personnel training in the veterinary and animal husbandry sectors" was held at the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology on the development of professional standards for republican similar higher educational institutions and vocational educational institutions in 2025-2026.

The educational and methodological seminar, opened by the Rector of the University, Professor Kh. Yunusov, was attended by representatives of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Samarkand Regional Entrepreneurs' Association, the Nukus and Tashkent branches of the university, deans and professors-teachers of the faculties, as well as leaders and responsible employees of more than 10 similar higher educational institutions and technical schools that train personnel in the fields of veterinary medicine and livestock.



The event discussed issues aimed at solving existing problems in the development of educational programs with the participation of representatives of higher education, scientific research institutions, and industry.
Also, during the event, experts gave presentations on the topics of "Priority tasks of improving the quality of education in the training of personnel in the fields of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and biotechnology", "Improvement of veterinary medicine curricula", and the working discussion of the Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Coordinating Department continued on the topics of "Development of professional standards in the veterinary field" and "Development of professional standards in the animal husbandry field".
