The traditions of "Ustoz-shogird" are considered important in the effective organization of national education in educational institutions, in acquiring modern knowledge and experience. The traditions of "Ustoz-shogird" - in addition to cultivating professional skills in young people, the teacher not only guides and instructs the student, but also prepares them for independent activity, creating an opportunity for them to pass on work experience, knowledge and skills from generation to generation.
This was once again emphasized by the rector of the university, Professor Kh. Yunusov, during a seminar-training with professors and teachers of interfaculty departments.
The meeting emphasized that the aspects of the educational process are improving, that in this process experienced professors and teachers need to provide timely assistance to young personnel, jointly establish scientific schools in their field, work together on various projects, and make appropriate use of the traditions of mentorship. Today, the need to accelerate the comprehensive formation of young specialists has become a requirement of the times, and is aimed at improving their professional activities, and that it is important to convey the accumulated experience to the minds of young people.
The round table discussion once again emphasized that there are laws in life that are not written, but if not followed, lead to ugly consequences, one of which is the relationship between a mentor and a student, and the etiquette of mentors and students was also discussed.
The rector of the university also expressed his views on the future rapid development of the university, fully mobilizing the scientific and intellectual potential of the teachers, creating schools based on their field, transforming it into a prestigious higher education institution in the republican and international rankings, and training highly qualified personnel with modern knowledge in the field and independent thinking.
