SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL CHARTER

 GENERAL RULES
1.1. The Council of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology (hereinafter referred to as the University) is a permanent supreme collegial body.
1.2. In its activities, the Council is guided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions and orders of the State Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, the collegium of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the Regulations on Higher education, the charter of the university and these Regulations, as well as other legislative acts.
1.3. The Council carries out its activities on the basis of the principles of legality, publicity in accordance with applicable law, independence, free discussion of issues, a combination of collegiality and unity of command, and consideration of collective opinion.
1.4. Determines the procedure for planning the work of the Council, preparing materials on the issues under discussion, holding meetings and making decisions, monitoring the implementation of decisions made and office work.
1.5. The composition of the council is approved by the order of the rector of the university. According to the charter, the Council includes: the rector (chairman), vice-rectors (by position), deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of structural divisions, heads of public organizations and representatives of other interested departments. Other members of the Council are elected by secret ballot at the general meeting of faculties. Teaching staff The number of members elected by the council from among its members is determined by the order of the rector. The council may include both prominent scientists and specialists of the Institute working in one or another area of   problems. The term of office is 5 years. In connection with changes in the staff of the university, the rector may make changes to the composition of the Council.
