The conference was attended by 55 delegates from 55 primary trade union organizations of the city, 14 veterans who have worked in the system of agro-industrial trade unions for many years, guests and students and young people, and more than a thousand participants.
At the beginning of the conference, the rector of SamSUVLB Khudaynazar Yunusov spoke and noted that the great work being done for human dignity has brought our state and society to a completely new stage of development, that the achievements of the new Uzbekistan in this regard are now recognized and highly appreciated internationally, and, of course, trade unions are actively participating in the ongoing reforms and changes, supporting the reforms and organizing systematic work to protect the socio-economic interests of employees in various sectors and their rights in the labor sphere.
The conference was led by Alibek Gapparov, the elected representative of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology - the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational work of the university.
The conference, in accordance with clause 3.3.1 of the Regulation on holding reporting elections in trade union organizations within the system of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and clause 11.4 of the Charter of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers of Uzbekistan, the resolutions of the General Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan dated December 21, 2024 No. IX-3 “On holding reporting elections in trade union organizations within the system of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan” and the resolutions of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers of Uzbekistan No. X-3 “On holding reporting elections in organizations within the system of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers of Uzbekistan”, the election of the Chairman of the Samarkand City Council of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers of Uzbekistan was held on an alternative basis and by secret ballot.
Valiev Rustam Usmandjanovich, Karimbekova Yulduz Karimbekovna, and Egamberdiev Yodgor Narzikulovich were nominated for the chairmanship of the Samarkand City Council.
The election was held by secret ballot, and Valiev Rustam Usmandjanovich was re-elected with 50 out of 55 votes, or 91%.
The report was held in a spirit of election enthusiasm, and commemorative gifts were presented to veterans and letters of gratitude to activists.
