WHAT ARE THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF TRADE UNIONS?
Within the framework of the program “New Uzbekistan - New Trade Unions”, representatives of the Trade Union of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Uzbekistan, the trade union system, their powers, employee rights and social protection issues were explained in detail at a meeting with students of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology. During the event, the conditions created for students at the university were also shown.
At a meeting of the chairmen of primary trade union organizations in the system of the Trade Union of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Uzbekistan with students of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock and Biotechnology, specialists provided detailed information on this.
The meeting was organized to ensure the implementation of Head of the Department for the Protection of Socio-Economic Interests of Workers of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Employees Begimkulova Shokhida Bazarbayevna provided information about the right of trade unions and their associations to participate in the formation of social programs aimed at creating conditions for a decent life and free development of a person, in the development of measures for the social protection of employees, in determining the main criteria for the standard of living and the minimum amount of things necessary for subsistence, in ensuring employment of the population, in resolving issues of protecting employees being released from work, as well as in resolving other issues related to the protection of the socio-economic rights and interests of employees.
During the event, the participants got acquainted with the conditions created for students and young people at the university, including modern classrooms, educational and scientific laboratories, and the activities of circles organized under the “Five Important Initiatives” center.
